My Card.

An unusual (and possibly boring!) picture today.I just wanted to show how I'm trying to get more visitors to my DP blog. It helps if I catch people in the street or if anybody asks what I am taking picture of-or why. Also it was a fairly cheap idea. What do the other DP bloggers think...would this work for you?

Great idea, but i think would be more efficient if you put your photo with the hat:):).

Cool idea!I like the design- it's simple and adequate- much better than the ones with overloaded designs which you find here quite often..

Chris, good idea. I also have business cards for my DP blog and been handing them out for a while. I find them helpful ... the only thing I did differently was add a statement about "sharing positive images of Greenville globally", as well as "part of the Global Daily Photo community", and my card included my DP url as well as the DP map url and an email address.

I designed some business cards earlier this year, but I haven't gotten around to ordering any yet. Instead I created a logo for my blog and printed in on a t-shirt. Nothings fancy, one colored text, no photos or graphics. Unfortunately we haven't had that many hot days yet, so I haven't been able to test it in public.

Ahh very clever Chris! Have not thought of doing this...or the t-shirt thing...but seeing so many of you is doing it made me think as well. Will try to figure something out :)

Hey don't drop the site Chris! I really love seeing a piece of Newcastle everyday! And I'm sure the whole family will miss yah! :(

It is a great, great idea. We can still improve it. Here is how I think it can still be improve.

1. We make a file 3.5"x2" (or 3x2) at 300 dpi in photoshop or whatever image editing program you use.

2. We add one our best photos as background.

3. We add our website address on top of it.

4. We save our presentation card design and we make a new file 5"x7" or 4"x6".

5. We copy our card four times in the file.

6. We save our 4 cards file as a photo and we send it to our quick lab and ask for 10 copies of the photo.

7. We cut our 10 photos into 4 pieces and we get 40 photo presentation cards very fast and cheap.

Very quick sample 1 card:

Actually, I've been thinking of printing up matches with my Dallas Diorama address printed on them. Or possibly a tip-n-strip floaty pen - I'm not above putting on the tart to promote my blog. Your card looks great. Maybe I'll scale my ambitions down a bit and start with a card. Yeah, works for me.

I have a little card I hand out to people with a photo on it. I just print a few at home.. this way I can change them when necessary.

Mhm, pretty nice idea. Also - original. :) People always give physical addresses, you are doing something cool. Hope more people read through it! :P
