Old Eldon Square.

They are rebuilding part of Eldon Square shopping centre on this photo(centre-left).The green boxes are the workmens huts. You can also see the war memorial, but the reason for posting this is to show you were all the goths, skaters, punks and rockers hang out on a Saturday.Ranging in age from about 10 to 20,all thats missing is Marylin Manson! (This was not a weekend as you can see only one goth walking across!)
Go to my other blog to see a very cool photo of a NASCAR, car)

The kids in Newcastle call this Hippy Green, it's not known as Old Eldon Square or the War Memorial, which is a pity in some respects as history is forgotten, but at least its got a popular meeting place status now.

It must be a big effort to be a Goth. Good to have a bit of life in a place

that gives me an idea to get a photo where the edinburgh goths hang out...i could actually just take a photo in my school, but i reckon there are a few child protection issues there!

my word this one takes me back 25 years when it was the Hippy green. All indian print and henna then, fond memories of a Saturday afternoon with a bottle of cider. We where much more colorful than the Goth's but just as peaceful. The powers that be should leave the kid alone they do no harm and it's good for them to have somewhere to hang out.
