Gig Guide..

While people continue to download music and buy cd's from the evil that is supermarkets,this image will very quickly become a thing of the past.The record store poster wall.As you can see we have a very vibrant music scene here.

I saw on the internet someone else yesterday lamenting that there will be no more cover art like there was for LPs, CD is too small a space, and downloads have nothing...but now we all publish ourselves, so that's a pretty good tradeoff...

Chris I think your pictures have a lot of style and have a certain way of showing what is "in" or trendy in your city without falling into stereotypes. I like them all.

Brian & Lucy--not the best pay off--I work for a record company!

Karine--I dont have a store--I sell cd's and dvd's to the stores..I work for a record company.

i dont understand ? buying from the supermarket, the recording companies still get their royalties ,right?

as for downloading, yes, i agree if its done illegally ..

thanks for your explaination, Chris ..surely there must be an association to look after the wellfare of the smaller records store ? no worries , good ideas will come in order for the industry to sustain :)
